She is neither in nor out
a hesitation over noises external
sniffing the door frame is interim curiosity..
So I as tender of the door
am asked for patience
awaiting a decision most weighty..
What is the quality of patience here..?
Some irritation or might it be
a recognition that this moment
glows equally with that better moment
