Freedom

The struggle for freedom

so often exclaimed

a seeming formulation of

story and history..

This struggle is imaged

as external..often warlike 

oppressor and oppressed

locked and uncertain..

Vigilance is urged

to detect encroachment

to foresee what might

hamper our movement..

Are we mistaken..?

Is the freedom sought

placed in shadow

hidden by exertion..

And only found when

realized as source.. 

Source of the tugging to

confine or free..

Freedom our Substance

our always presence

awaiting our falling

into ourselves...
