Metaphor blindness
many teachers of Self
past and present
have and do understand
the power of metaphor..
scripture texts assume
the readers lenses
are tuned for metaphor..
this seeing has been
distorted by fundamental
seeing which portrays
beliefs as anchoring truths..
beliefs sustain and then fail
leaving adherents living
through uplift and pain..
how might we understand
that a tree walking is lodged
in Truth...?
