Attention
some time
after our birth
our attention engages
in all of life's tracings..
we come to believe that
our experience is well
founded on
discrimination..
then stealthily
this healthy growth
seems accompanied by
a question of suffering
nagging and lagging
alongside..
something cries out
for new birth..in which
attention is swallowed
by a new identity
to which
our suffering has
always pointed...
